The Bouquet
Model. Eva Lomby
With this story we follow a bride who doesn’t show up to her own wedding, choosing instead to stay at home. Her decision not to marry is not about escape, but about taking control of her own life. Unimpressed by outside judgment, she rejects conventional ideas of love and fulfillment, reimagining the bridal bouquet as her lover: she eats it, bathes with it, sleeps beside it. The gestures move between tenderness, irony, and provocation.
Blending a cinematic narrative with the raw aesthetic of 1990s fashion photography Eva and I wanted to embrace imperfection. The story unfolds in fragmented, screenplay-like scenes. It's a playful yet defiant reflection on female empowerment and the right to choose one’s own path without explanation.
